The origin of the storming castle game can be traced to the film titled: ‘The Princess bride’ of 1987. The film itself is based on the book by the same title authored by William Goldman. The game is said to be the main source of the new found craze about the card games.

The game can be played by two or four people. The game has 54 cards with 28 of them being the equipment cards while the rest are the action cards. The four players take the characters of Westley, Inigo, Fezzik and Buttercup. For a player to be successful, the players must be able to storm to the castle and rescue the princess.
The game has very tricky and most of the times intimidating localities; they range from the very rigged cliffs, rodents of strange sizes, Eel infested waters, fire swamps and the Florin sea. These are the obstacles designed to make it difficult for you to reach your goals, thus making the game more interesting and interactive.
The games have 54 path tiles that lead to the main castle and 54 tactic cards which provide essential tools required by the player. The tools are meant to help the player defend himself from harm and defeat. The player who successfully matches to the castle will be said to have rescued the princess and therefore the winner of the game. Since its inception, the game has grown in popularity with people around the world heaping praises on how the games made them happy.
