The game of Baccarat rose to fame in the early middle ages and now has spread all over the world to become a hit in America. A lot of rich players from all over the world come to play this game. This game originated in Italy in 1483 and was a game played by the upper classes in those times. This game is believed to be have been played on a tarot deck. This game was played among the aristocracy. The game started to spread and finally the game split to European baccarat and in France it was known as “chemin de fer.”
The game is basically a game of cards. In America it is known as Punto banco and it is basically a game of chance. There is no need for skill in this version of the game. Basically, each player’s moves are generally forced by the cards the player has been dealt with. The main high rollers come from other countries to play the game. In the casinos which are in Macao, near Hong Kong, baccarat is extremely popular.
Punto Banco
There are three versions of the game. Basically there is the Punto Banco in North America, Baccarat Chemin de Fer and Baccarat Bangue. But due to the game spreading all over the world, the variations of the games have been evolving ever since. You also have Mini- Baccarat which is more or less similar to the same game but is played on a smaller table and is quite similar to the Blackjack table. Here there is a single dealer throughout the game. Betting has been a significant part of this game ever since it became famous. The betting is high and also low but it always changes.
Makccarat was more or less similar to the older version of the game which was a little modified. This game was played in Macau and had the same system of scoring but the card dealing rules and orders were a little different. This game was stopped in 2008.
The original version of this game was started in France and this version of the game continues to be famous in France. The name “Chemin De Fer” originated because the cards were placed in an iron box. In this game as soon as one of the player loses, it passes on to another player.
Baccarat Banque, the position of the banker is a little more prominent. Here the banker will be in charge until all the cards have been dealt with. This game has come to fame due to the number of movies patronizing the game. Though the game was not portrayed in the 2006 version of the Casino royal, the game Texas Hold Em Poker was shown because of the popularity of poker in America at that time. But the 1967 version of Casino Royale included the original version of Baccarat in the movie.
This game has now become a famous game all over and this is the reason as to why we see so many people going to Las Vegas to play it.
