Creative assembly and SEGA have announced the next of the “Total War RTS” series. The name of the game will be Napoleon –Total war. The most important thing regarding this is the featuring of 3 story- driven campaigns. This is expected to be released in February 2010. In this the player is given a chance to be the actual Napoleon.
The player will be going through the problems which Napoleon had faced in his life. The player will also get a chance to build his empire. The player can do this better. Besides through this game the player can also be familiar with the emperor`s opposing generals. This means the rewriting of history is a possibility in the game. This was said by Mike Simpson. He is the creative director of “The Creative assembly”.
In the press release they had not mentioned anything on whether “Empire- Total war” is a necessity to enjoy the above mentioned game. The clarification came soon that this is not a necessity. The game is the latest one so it is new. This game will be available for the personal computer in February of next year.
This will be based on the nineteenth century. This game illustrates his rise and fall. This is shown through the wars he fought. This begins with the emperor`s early campaigns which took place in Egypt and Italy and ends with his final defeat at the waterloo battle by the “Duke of Wellington”. This also deals with the emperor`s frozen Russian defeat.
As mentioned earlier the players can be familiar with the emperor`s enemies by facing off opposite strategic savant in the battlefield of that time. The game also contains several features which defined the game “Empire- Total War”. This game was well- received. Sea and land engagements are included in this along with detailed diplomacy mechanics and an elaborate campaign map. This game is eagerly awaited.
The Emperor total war had focused on the eighteenth century and the announced game will focus on the nineteenth century. Empire- total war was their last release on the great empire and was out in the month of June. So it is a surprise for many that the next game is being released soon.
The main character in this game is a person having a natty bicorn line. The emperor`s strengths have to be made upon. Visually there are going to be some variations. The engine of the empire is tweaked in this besides being refined. Variations will be in the troops in height and build. Different models have been created by stitching the body parts together which are interchangeable.
New shiny touches like buttons and epaulettes have been introduced. The units are more dandy and crisp. This suits the gentleman soldiers of that time. The updating of architecture is done in this game. This is done to reflect the style of the century. The towns present on the map are much different from the towns in the last release of the series.
